CDG news update
FEMA’s October 28 update to its nationwide emergency-commodity disposal Sources Sought notice now lists responses due November 19. Revision 1 seeks capability information for excess, expired, damaged or otherwise unusable commodities, including meals, water, sheltering kits, plastic sheeting and tarps.
The capture question is coverage you can demonstrate. FEMA asks which locations a firm can serve directly, where it needs transporters or downstream facilities, and what resources it can mobilize within 24, 48 or 72 hours, seven days, or longer. These are capability questions, not a universal 24-hour performance requirement.
CDG’s pursuit takeaway: map the team’s geographic reach, surge limits, commodity experience and disposition documentation before committing to the opportunity. Separate continental U.S. coverage from possible future support in Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories.
Responses are limited to 10 pages, excluding one cover page; include up to three comparable examples from the past five years. SAM lists NAICS 562211 and no set-aside. Identify the permits and authorities held by each proposed performer for its role.
Questions: November 6, noon ET. Responses: November 19, 2026, noon EST. Notice: 70FB7027I00000005. Market research only; no solicitation, award or guaranteed volume.
