MITRE and Oak Ridge National Laboratory announced JICSA on October 22 to develop, evaluate and transition advanced computing for national-security missions.
The new Joint Institute for Computational and Super Intelligence Advantage includes a systems-evaluation focus: cyber and superintelligence security, benchmarking, verification and validation, and testing in mission environments.
For federal technology teams and suppliers, the practical takeaway is to plan how security and performance will be validated under the mission conditions where a system will operate.
This is a research collaboration. The announcement introduces no new compliance mandate, certification, solicitation or deadline.
